Assistant to Directors of Safety and Labor

Headquartered in Seattle, AGC of Washington is the premier professional association of contractors in the State, committed to enhancing the performance of our more than 600 members, representing their interests and building a better climate for construction. AGC supports the education, safety, and commerce of the commercial construction industry.

Our team is currently seeking a full-time, onsite Admimistrative Assistant to join our small, tight-knit team in South Lake Union. This position will be responsible for providing safety and labor services to AGC member construction firms.

Pay range - $29-33/ hour (dependent on experience)

Responsibilities:

· · Provides general office assistance and clerical support for Labor and Safety Departments, including assisting with special projects and events.

· Schedules all Safety Team® audits, maintains records of all member safety statistics and keeps members on renewal schedule including communication with Director of Retro and Safety.

· Processes all orders for safety products, maintains inventory and invoicing.

· Processes all registrations, distributes materials for classes and special events for the safety and labor departments and CLC.

· Develops forms and composes routine correspondence for Safety and Labor Departments.

· Composes routine correspondence, materials and meeting minutes for the monthly Safety Forums and all Safety Committee meetings.

· Composes, edits, and distributes the Quarterly Safety Department Newsletter with the marketing department.

· Maintains database records for Safety Team ® as well as contact lists for safety, labor, HR Roundtable, Culture of CARE, Construction Leadership Council.

· Maintains records of contractor members, signatory to collective bargaining agreements (CBA) through the AGC of Washington.

· Provides support for negotiations with unions to update and revise CBA.

· Assists with the preparation of revised CBA and distribution to contractor members.

· Maintains AGC of Washington webpages for Labor, Safety and CLC.

· Responds to requests from contractor members for safety & labor related information.

· Coordinates grievance/arbitration procedures and meetings.

· Coordinates regular labor/management meetings with unions.

· Front desk telephone relief upon request.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.

· Excellent customer service skills.

· Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Suite, with advanced Excel skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong interpersonal skills.

· Current WA state driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.[SC1] [MK2]
