POSITION TITLE:

Accounting – Staff Accountant

 

DEPARTMENT: Operations

LOCATION: Based in Wenatchee, WA (not a remote position)

COMPENSATION: $ 85,000 to $95,000

BENEFITS: Paid leave, medical stipend, dental, short, long, life and 401k

SCHEDULE: Full Time

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records by performing tasks like data entry of transactions, accounts payable, payroll, reconciling bank and credit card statements, remitting tax reports and other compliance activities while adhering to accounting procedures. This position will also support the company with other administrative and clerical duties while upholding high attention to detail and organizational skills.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Establish and maintain credit lines with vendors

· Manage all aspects of accounts payable and receivable

· Prepare and transmit payroll

· Bank account and credit card expenditure reconciliation

· Perform tasks related to hiring, on boarding and ongoing human resources

· Prepare and remit various reports to regulatory and tax authorities

· Cash flow management activities and reporting

· Internally audit financial data for accuracy with established GL codes and accounting principles

· Prepare and generate various financial reports based on recorded transactions

· Provide guidance and compliance with company-wide financial data tracking

· Prepare data file for annual tax returns prepared by 3rd party CPA firm

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred

· Experience: 3 years of like experience

· Accounting knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data

· Accounting software proficiency: Proficient with accounting software, specifically QuickBooks

· Computer literacy: All Microsoft Office applications, including strong Excel skills

· Strong attention to detail: Necessary for accurate data entry and financial record keeping.

· Organizational skills: Efficiently managing multiple tasks, activities and projects.

· Communication: Strong verbal and written skills
