WV Symphony Orchestra - Wheel of Fortune: Carmina Burana
Wenatchee Valley Symphony Orchestra Presents: Wheel of Fortune Featuring Carmina Burana The Wenatchee Valley Symphony Orchestra is proud to present its highly anticipated Wheel of Fortune concert on April 12 and 13, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Wenatchee High School Auditorium. This powerful program features Carl Orff’s monumental work Carmina Burana, in collaboration with The Columbia Chorale, for an unforgettable evening of music. Under the baton of Music Director and Conductor Nikolas Caoile, the Wenatchee Valley Symphony Orchestra will bring to life the drama and intensity of Carmina Burana, a choral masterpiece that explores themes of fate, fortune, and the human experience. Joining the orchestra and chorale are three acclaimed soloists: Allison Pohl (soprano), Jason Wickson (tenor), and José Rubio (baritone). “This is one of the most thrilling and recognizable works in the choral-orchestral repertoire,” said Caoile. “Audiences will be captivated by its driving rhythms, powerful chorus, and the emotional range of the soloists. It’s a concert not to be missed.” Carmina Burana has not been performed in Wenatchee for over 30 years, making this an historic musical event for the valley. The program’s title, Wheel of Fortune, references the famous opening and closing movement "O Fortuna", evoking the ever-turning wheel of fate at the heart of the piece.
