Wenatchee Valley Humane Society at On the Safety Trail
Find the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society and Wenatchee Valley Animal Control on site at Rocky Reach Dam's “On the Safety Trail” event starting at 10am June 30th. Learn safety smarts for the whole family while you enjoy adventure, learning and more! Learn pet safety tips from Shelter Director Karen Headlee and Sergeant Jody White of Wenatchee Valley Animal Control. Adopt one of the many adoptable pets on site and take home a free gift, too!
Venture from booth to booth learning safety tidbits from a variety of teachers, including the Fishin' Magician Dave Graybill, the U.S. Forest Service, Washington State Patrol, the YMCA, Sparky the Fire Dog, Cash the Karelian bear dog, Smokey Bear, McGruff the Crime Dog and Seamor the talking sea serpent. They’ll each have their own safety story to tell.
There will be all kinds of activities for the whole family. Explore the inside of a fire truck, watch electrical safety demonstrations by PUD linemen and Hazard Hamlet, try a safety simulator and visit the Rocky Reach Visitor Center and café.
