Learn the art of grantwriting with Spark the Fire Grantwriting Classes, coming to Wenatchee, WA on September 27-28! This class is sponsored by the United Way of Chelan and Douglas Counties. The early bird deadline to register is Thursday, September 13th! Day One: Essential Grantwriting on Thursday, September 27 - $95 early bird; $115 regular price. Essential Grantwriting is a fast-paced class that will provide you with a detailed overview of the grantwriting process. Learn how to research new prospects for grantwriting and build an annual grants calendar. Walk step-by-step through writing every section of a winning grant proposal. Learn best practices for communicating with and reporting to grantmakers. Day Two: Proposal Writing on Friday, September 28 - $95 early bird; $115 regular price. Proposal Writing is an extension day to Essential Grantwriting to provide students with dedicated writing time to complete a full grant proposal with the assistance of an expert grantwriter. Learn to critically evaluate guidelines and requests for proposals. Tailor the grant proposal to a given grantmaker, review good writing skills, develop outcomes, and learn how grantmakers use evaluation rubrics to score proposals. These classes are perfect for beginning and intermediate grantwriters – those who have never written a grant proposal as well as those who have some grants under their belt and want to brush up on their skills. Our alumni work in nonprofit and government agencies, Native American tribes and groups, academic institutions, faith organizations, healthcare institutions, grantmaking organizations, and as independent grantwriting professionals.
