Opening reception: "Winter Sports in the Wenatchee Valley"
From backyard sledding to world-class ski jumping, this exhibit in the museum’s Main Gallery focuses on the history of winter sports in the Wenatchee area. It includes photographs, memorabilia and equipment from the museum’s collection and the collections of Bill Asplund, Carl Stingl, Jackie and Robin DeGroot, Kjell Bakke, Ancient Skiers of the Pacific Northwest Ski Museum, and Leavenworth Ski Hill Heritage Fund. All are welcome to a free opening reception from 5 to 8 p.m. with refreshments. Museum admission is free all day. The reception is part of Wenatchee First Fridays; maps to other venues are available in the museum lobby.
