WVMCC Spring Tea
The museum's annual Spring Tea features a fashion show celebrating wedding gowns from the museum's collection. The gowns date from the 1800s to 1940, and were worn by women as they married pioneers, bank presidents, hotel owners, orchardists and other men from North Central Washington. Materials of silk, lace, satin brocade, chiffon and voile are embellished with beads, embroidery and flapper-style sashes. The tea includes cakes, scones, tiny sandwiches, chocolate-dipped strawberries and a variety of organic teas. Ladies are encouraged to wear hats! Preregistration required; tickets are available at the museum, by phone at 888-6240, or online at store.wvmcc.org.
