Linemen and apprentices will test their skills 45 feet in the air on poles set up in Wenatchee’s Walla Walla Point Park.
The opening ceremony will begin at 8 a.m. Competition begins at 8:30 a.m.
The rodeo offers lots of free, family fun for Father’s Day weekend with free games and photos for kids, and an opportunity for adults to strap on spikes for the spectator pole climb.
Proceeds support the Andrew York Memorial Scholarship, which has provided $17,500 in scholarships for high school seniors active in preventing drug and alcohol abuse.
The rodeo is hosted by Chelan, Douglas, Ferry, Grant, and Okanogan PUDs and IBEW Local 77.
