The Wenatchee Youth Circus celebrates its 60th season under the guidance of founder and managing director Paul Pugh (aka Guppo the Clown). The exhibit in the museum’s Gold Gallery honors this wonderful traveling show that has entertained countless families throughout the Northwest with acts such as flying trapeze, high-wire, tumbling, trampoline, Roman ladders, clown antics, band music and much more. The display will include mementos from private collections as well as photos and artifacts from the museum’s collection including the circus’ historic calliope. The free 5-8 p.m. reception, sponsored by U.S. Bank, is part of Wenatchee First Fridays; maps to other venues are available in the museum lobby. The exhibit continues through Sept. 22 whenever the museum is open.
