This family activity day focuses on geology, Ice Age mammals and the Clovis people. Many hands-on activities are planned for children, including assembling a rock collection and walking across the shimmery surface of a "peat bog." Experts will demonstrate such skills as flint-knapping and throwing the atlatl. The event is co-presented by the Wenatchee Valley Erratics, who will have a large informational display on the Ice Age Floods. October is National Geology Month.
