Middle housing includes such types as duplexes, triplexes, townhouses, cottages, and courtyard housing. Middle housing has been touted as a potential solution to the affordability crisis, while also making it easier for residents to access nearby services and amenities. Older middle housing can be found in many North Central Washington communities today, having been built between 1910 and 1950.
