WVMCC public relations coordinator Chris Rader and Wenatchee Row and Paddle Club president Skip Johnson will give a slide presentation about Canada's greatest surveyor, who was the first man in recorded history to canoe down the entire Columbia River in 1811. Wenatchee is observing the bicentennial of Thompson's momentous journey in many ways this year. In this one-hour program, learn more about Thompson and his accomplishments, and get a preview of the bicentennial events that include welcoming the 250-person 2011 David Thompson Columbia River Canoe Brigade to Wenatchee Confluence State Park in June.
