DESCRIPTION:Wenatchee Valley Symphony Orchestra to feature Wenatchee native and professional vocalist Elizabeth Zharoff in May 19 Concert!\n\n\n\nThe Wenatchee Valley Symphony Orchestra will present their final concert of the season on Saturday\, May 19\, 2012\, 7pm\, at the Performing Arts Center of Wenatchee (PAC). The concert\, titled "Classical Favorites"\, will feature Wenatchee native and professional vocalist Elizabeth Zharoff on Samuel Barber's Knoxville: Summer of 1915. Opening the program is the world premier of Diaghilev Grin\, a WVSO commissioned composition by Juel Iwaasa\, Music Department Program Director at Wenatchee Valley College. Also on the program is Schubert's Symphony No. 8 "Unfinished" and Felix Mendelssohn's Overture to A Midsummer Night's Dream.\n\n\n\nWenatchee Valley Symphony Orchestra Music Director and Conductor Dr. Nikolas Caoile will present a Concert Prelude (pre-concert lecture) beginning at 6pm. The Prelude is complimentary to all ticket holders.\n\n\n\nWenatchee Valley Symphony Orchestra\, founded in 1947\, is in its 65th season and second season under the artistic leadership of Dr. Nikolas Caoile\, who received rave reviews during his inaugural season with the symphony. Caoile is Director of Orchestral Activities at Central Washington University.\n\n\n\nTickets can be purchased at the PAC box office by calling 663-ARTS (663-2787) or in person at 123 N. Wenatchee Avenue. Individual concert main floor tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students. Premium balcony individual tickets are $25.
