The Wenatchee Wild are members of the major junior Western Hockey League\, celebrating their 16th season on the ice in 2023-24 and first as members of the WHL. Founded in 1966\, the WHL is widely known as one of the top junior hockey leagues in the world\, including 22 teams in four divisions\, with six teams in Oregon and Washington. One in five current National Hockey League players is a WHL alumnus.
