DESCRIPTION:Come learn about biochar! Biochar is a stable\, carbon-rich material made by heating biomass in an oxygen-free environment. C6 Forest to Farm\, co-founded by Tom and Gina McCoy\, is a nonprofit dedicated to protecting our forests from the risks of extreme wildfire. They plan to establish biochar production near Cole's Corner that will operate using forest waste materials. This is a FREE event with a donation basket at door. Doors open at 6:30pm for a community social with beer and wine available for purchase. The presentation will start at 7:00pm. All Red Barn Events are now hybrid\, you may join us in person in the Red Barn or livestream virtually via Zoom.
