DESCRIPTION:Ultralight backpacking isn't just for the most hardcore thru-hikers. It can also be advantageous for weekend warriors or section hikers. To help with the planning process\, Arlberg Sports is hosting an evening with Osprey Packs and Summit Sales NW to provide some insight on how to lighten your backpacking load without compromising comfort or safety. Topics to be covered: -How to plan out your backpacking gear list -Picking and sizing the proper bag for your trip -Packing tips and pack maintenance All participants will go home with a free Osprey Ultralight stuff sack\, a key part to a dialed in packing system. There will also be a silent auction benefiting the Chelan Douglas Land Trust. It's a great chance to bid on some sweet outdoor gear from brands like SCARPA\, MSR and Therm-A-Rest. Event is free and refreshments will be provided. Doors open: 6:00 PM Presentation starts: 6:15 PM .
