The group was featured on the front-page of the New York Times in 2005 and has appeared at festivals in Albuquerque\, Tucson\, Las Cruces\, Santa Barbara\, San Diego\, Phoenix\, and Guadalajara and has shared the stage with such famous groups as Mariachi Los Camperos de Nati Cano\, Mariachi Sol de M xico de Jos Hern ndez\, and the Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitl n.\n\n Mariachi Chula Vista took First Place at the 2004 Battle of the Mariachis in San Diego\, First Prize at the 2004 and 2006 Mariachi Spectacular Competitions in Albuquerque\, and at the 2006 and 2007 San Juan Capistrano Competitions.
