Get an inside look at these exciting jobs during Careers After School and try your hand at simulated surgery activities.\n\n\n\nHighlighted Career Paths:\n\n\n\nRegistered Nurse First Assist)\n\n\n\nCertified Surgical Technologist\n\n\n\nSurgery Support Tech\n\n\n\nAnesthesia Technologist/Technician\n\n\n\nSterile Processing Department/Central Supply Tech\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nHands-on Activities: \n\n\n\n  Mock Laparoscopic Surgery (using a Laparoscopic Simulator)\n\n\n\n  Mock Robotic Surgery (Play in the Robot Console and see the arms of the Robot move)\n\n\n\n  Mock Orthopedic Surgery (Saw and drill into fake bone\, apply plates and screws)\n\n\n\n  Building and wrapping instrument trays in CS\n\n\n\n  Gowning and Gloving for Surgery (Full surgical attire)\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nCareers After School events are free and open to 6-12 grade students\, parents and educators.
